Cafe de Flore:

This is one of the most famous cafés in the world, where France’s literary elite met in the years prior to and during World War II. Sartre, de Beauvoir, Camus, Picasso, all came to the Flore for discussions and coffee. Decent food, too.

Le Grand Véfour:

This three Michelin star restaurant is located in the gardens of the Palais Royal, and it serves meals fit for a king. 18th century décor including gilt mirrors and chandeliers. Member of the prestigious Relais Gourmands.
